INSTRUCTIONS: 

It is the ideal product for puppies and adult dogs with prior prolonged treatments or diagnoses of complicated and severe otitis, making it especially suitable for owners with limited time for treatments, those with little control over their pet, or veterinarians who prefer daily monitoring of the patient. It is also the treatment of choice for irritable or nervous patients.

Mometax is indicated in dogs for the treatment of acute or chronic external otitis associated with bacteria sensitive to Gentamicin (Alcaligenes spp., Citrobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp., Escherichia coli, Enterobacter spp., Staphylococcus spp. and Streptococcus spp.), fungi (Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum and Microsporum canis) and yeasts (Candida spp. and Malassezia spp.) sensitive to Clotrimazole.

DOSE:

Dogs up to 15 kg: instill 4 drops into the affected ear, once a day.

Dogs over 15 kg: Instill 8 drops into the affected ear, once a day.

Method of Administration: The external auditory canal should be as clean and dry as possible. Apply the indicated dose once a day for at least 7 consecutive days, even if symptoms have disappeared. After cleaning with Ceruline, apply Mometax to the entire outer ear and into the auditory canal. Massage gently.

CONTRAINDICATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS:

For Veterinary Use Only. Keep out of reach of children. Restrict use of this product in patients with a perforated tympanic membrane: Before applying the medication into the ear, examine the external auditory canal to verify that the tympanic membrane is not perforated or partially ruptured, in order to avoid the risk of transmission of infection to the middle ear and prevent damage to the cochlear and vestibular systems. If any allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use. Do not use in dogs allergic to any of the components. Use with caution in pregnant females. Discontinue use if signs of hearing loss are observed during treatment. Shake well before use.
